Beach days are creative central

When it comes to creativity in our family the person most creative by far is Emma. She is at the exploring age and things that you and I would think are dull she makes into a creative activity. She’s free from any boundary we put around ourselves of how creativity is supposed to work.
A stack of shoes can be hours of fun, sauce pans can be instruments, walking around a table time and time and again, eating food in the most creative way that she paints a picture on her own face.
Slides are meant for coming down but not if you're Emma they’re for climbing.
I often wonder what’s going through my daughter’s creative, intelligent, spontaneous brain. With her big blue eyes and a massive smile she is now walking around finding thing to be creative with. I get a small glimpse of how God see me and I am blown away.
She’s not trying to perform or show off, she is just being her in her own creative way and I accept her. I’m a human father thinking about my child in this way, so how much more must my heavenly Father long for use to be the creative beings that he designed us to be.
So just ask yourself if my 1 ½ year old self was here right now, what creative things would they do. Then think about some of the things that stop you from being creative. Let these two thoughts merge and step out into a new level of freedom in creativity. It not about what others think about you, it’s about finding out more about who you are and your own creativity.
