Joining a New Ministry – Mission Innovation

he latest development is that we have joined a Norwegian couple Rune and Irene in pioneering a new ministry based out of YWAM Constanta called Mission Innovation. The vision of the team is to: 

“Helping pioneer and champion new and existing works in Eastern Europe”.

So what does that mean? Rune and Irene have been working in Eastern Europe for the past 15 years and Sarah for 10 years before we got married. They have a lot of relationships in the region and see the need for fresh vision for growth. Many of the locations in Eastern Europe particularly the Balkan nations have very few staff.  The ministry will look at ways we can pioneer new locations and ministries in the region along with how do we see existing ministries grow. 

Recently we did a two-week trip around the Balkan region connecting with key locations, seeing what their needs are and how we can help. As we met with different staff teams and shared our vision, they were very excited and encouraged to hear of what we are doing. Part of the reason for this trip was to see where God is leading us as a family to be based. We did not necessarily get any clarity on this, but feel in this season to base ourselves in Constanta, Romania until God leads us on.

YWAM FAMILY GATHERING

In May we travelled to Vajta, Hungary for the Eastern European YWAM gathering with over 150 other YWAMers working in Eastern Europe. It was great for James to finally put faces to names that we been talking about since we arrived. The gathering was a good time of connecting with others and to see how we can have multiplication in the region.
